本名・山﨑利明。1967年4月26日生まれ、東京都出身。5歳のころよりピアノを始め、クラシック音楽の基本を学ぶ。中学時代には室内楽部に在籍し、ピアノ、チェンバロ、コントラバス奏者として活動。この頃からアンサンブルというものに強い興味を持ち、作曲・編曲を始める。
高校時代よりバンド活動を始めそれまでやってきたクラシックとロックが融合する。
成蹊大学・法学部卒業後コンポーザーとしてやっていくことを決意、25歳で作曲家デビュー。1994年にフジパシフィック音楽出版と専属契約を結び、現在に至る。
数多くの楽曲提供及びアレンジを行うかたわら、TVアニメ、バラエティ番組の音楽などを幅広く手掛けている。1997年には自らのプロデュースによる女性ボーカリストとのユニット”ef collage”(エフ・コラージュ)でメジャーデビューしシングルを2枚リリース。
AKB48への楽曲提供はデビュー当時から続けていてチームA「AKB参上！」チームK「転がる石になれ」は初期公演から現在に至るまで公演クライマックスで超盛り上がる神曲とファンの間で人気が高く、「あなたがいてくれたから」はAKBを代表するバラードとして過去5年を振り返った涙のPVが話題になり、韓国映画「TSUNAMI」テーマ曲に。
そして2010年「ヘビーローテーション」がAKB48を国民的アイドルに押し上げる代表曲の1曲になりオリコンチャートトップやファン投票2年連続第1位を獲得、カラオケでは約2年間トップという記録を作り、2012年JASRAC賞において金賞を受賞。2012年7月オリコン100週チャートイン。
このポピュラリティーが認められスイートプリキュアEDテーマやフジテレビ人気バラエティ「ピカルの定理」で渡辺直美が演じる白鳥美麗にも番組サイドから指名で楽曲を提供。またフジテレビのドラマ制作部からも声がかかり昨年BSスカパー開局記念ドラマ「Oh!デビー」の劇中歌を作編曲して好評を博し地上波でも正月深夜O.A。
2012年4月の「カエルの王女さま」では音楽プロデューサーに抜擢され、それまでの経験を活かして次々と巧みなコーラスアレンジを展開。劇中ではオリジナル楽曲も提供し、更にピアノやギターが弾ける市民センター職員「藤岡」という役をもらいセミレギュラーで出演、共演者やスタッフから存在感を褒められる。今後は日本のみならず海外へも活動の場を広げる具体的な企画が既に動き、レコーディングも行っている。

Toshiaki Yamazaki. Born on April 26, 1967, from Tokyo. Started playing the piano at the age of 5 and learned the basics of classical music. In junior high school, he was enrolled in the chamber club and worked as a piano, harpsichord and contrabass player. From this time, he became very interested in ensembles and began composing and arranging music.
The band has been active since high school, and classics and rocks that have been used until then are fused.
After graduating from Seikei University, Faculty of Law, decided to work as a composer, debuted as a composer at the age of 25. In 1994, he signed an exclusive contract with Fuji Pacific Music Publishing.
In addition to providing and arranging numerous songs, he has worked on a wide range of TV animation and variety program music. In 1997, she made her major debut in the unit “ef collage” with her female vocalist, and released two singles.
The music provided to AKB48 has continued since its debut, and Team A “AKB参上！” Team K “転がる石になれ” is popular among the fans and fans who are excited by the performance climax from the initial performance to the present, “あなたがいてくれたから” became a hot topic for the PV of tears that looked back over the past five years as a ballad representing AKB, and became the theme song for the Korean movie “TSUNAMI”.

Acknowledging this popularity, she also provided music by nomination from the program side for Sweet PreCure ED theme and Fuji TV’s popular variety “ピカルの定理” played by Naomi Watanabe. In addition, the drama production department of Fuji TV also received a voice and composes and arranges a song in the drama “Oh! Debbie” commemorating the opening of BS SKY Perfect last year.
In April 2012, “Princess of Frog” was selected as a music producer, and made use of his experience to develop sophisticated chorus arrangements one after another. In the play, original music is also provided, and the role of the citizen center staff “Fujioka” who can play the piano and guitar is performed semi-regularly, and the presence is praised by the co-stars and staff. In the future, specific plans to expand the field of activities not only in Japan but also overseas are already in motion, and recording is also underway.
